Purpose of the Preceptorship Program

Who the Program is for

Eligible Participants (Preceptees)

  • BSLMS Provisional Life Members (PLM) (Dermatology residents and fellows)
  • Early-career BSLMS Life Members (LM) (Dermatologists in the initial years of independent practice)
Participants must demonstrate a commitment to ethical practice and structured learning.

Preceptors

Preceptors are experienced BSLMS Life Members and recognized faculty who:

  • Have extensive clinical experience in laser and regenerative dermatology
  • Maintain high standards of patient safety and documentation
  • Practice evidence-based, ethical dermatology
  • Are affiliated with BSLMS Centers of Excellence or approved training centers

Structure of the Preceptorship Program

The BSLMS Preceptorship Program follows a clearly defined structure to ensure meaningful learning while maintaining patient safety and professional boundaries.

Program Format

  • Short-term, focused clinical exposure
  • Typically conducted over 1–4 weeks, depending on the learning objectives
  • Conducted at BSLMS-recognized Centers of Excellence or approved preceptor clinics
