The BSLMS Mentorship Program is designed to support dermatology students, residents, and early-career dermatologists through structured guidance, clinical learning, and professional development led by experienced BSLMS Life Members.

Who Can Participate

Mentees :
BSLMS conducts focused, skill-based workshops that emphasize real-world clinical application, including :
  • UG Medical Students
  • PG Dermatology Students
  • Dermatology Residents (PLM)
  • Early-career dermatologists (0–5 years)
Mentors :
  • Experienced BSLMS Life Members
  • Senior dermatologists with expertise in lasers, EBDs, rejuvenation & regenerative dermatology

Mentorship Models

  • A. 1-to-1 Mentorship
    Personalized guidance for residents or early-career dermatologists.
  • B. Group Mentorship
    One mentor working with 5–10 mentees in monthly sessions.
  • C. Micro-Mentorship
    Short, topic-based sessions (20–45 minutes) led by experts.

How Matching Works

Mentees and mentors are matched based on :
  • Area of clinical interest
  • Experience level
  • Preferred format (1:1 or group)
  • Career goals

Program Structure

  • Orientation
    Introduces the program, goals, boundaries, and expectations.
  • Monthly Sessions
    Case reviews, protocol discussions, Q&A, and progress planning.
  • Workshop Integration
    Mentees are encouraged to attend BSLMS hands-on programs and 3D learning events.
  • Research Support
    Mentors may help with papers, cases, abstract submissions, or academic growth.
  • Completion Review
    Simple assessment and feedback at the end of the cycle.
